AUBURN – Bishop Richard Malone, the highest-ranking Roman Catholic official in Maine, will celebrate Mass on Thursday at the Sacred Heart Church in Auburn.
Mass will begin at 9 a.m. and will be open to the public. Malone will be joined at the altar by pastors from local parishes. Students from St. Peter and Sacred Heart School will sing.
After the ceremony, Malone will tour the 100-year-old school. It will be the first time Malone has visited the school since he took over for retired Bishop Joseph Gerry in March.
