BRUNSWICK – Katie Cummings and Eileen Flaherty netted 13 points apiece to lead Bowdoin to a 63-55 win over the University of Southern Maine in a battle of two top-ranked women’s basketball teams Tuesday night.
Justine Pouravelis and Alison Smith chipped in nine points apiece for the Polar Bears (4-0).
Megan Myles led the Huskies (2-2) with a game-high 17 point effort, while Amanda Bryant chipped in with 10. Bowdoin held a 26-14 advantage at the half and put the game well out of reach with a 37-point second half.
