SHELTON, Wash. – Kenneth Edward “Brick” Whorff, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 24.

He was born in Phillips on July 26, 1917, the son of Carl and Mertie Whorff. He attended Phillips schools.

In 1938, he married Nancy Ketcham, who died in 1999. He lived and worked in Phillips until he and his wife moved to Shelton, Wash., in 1969.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an accomplished musician. He played the violin, guitar and harmonica, and sang well.

After his retirement, he and Nancy traveled in their motor home all over the country with their dog, Pokey.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Covert and her companion, Barbara Sevier, of Shelton, Wash., and Carrie Rinaldo and her husband, Jim, of Rumford; two grandsons, Gary Warren and his companion, Missy Ellis, of Peru, and Michael Warren of Phillips; a granddaughter, Melissa Walton and her husband, Scott; six great-grandchildren, Chad and Kori Warren of Rumford, Amber McKenna of Mexico, and Sam, Caleb and Hunter Warren of Phillips.

He was predeceased by his son, Richard.
