FARMINGTON – W.G. Mallett School will hold its 12th annual “Helping Hands” food pass on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Students will begin forming a line at 9 a.m. from Mallett School to the Farmington Community Center. The food pass will be held from 9:15 to 10:15.
Cascade Brook students will walk to the Community Center and deliver their food and Mount Blue Middle School will send their collected food.
Food donations began being collected at the schools the end of November. Students are asked to bring dry and canned goods or personal items from home. The food is passed along the line from child to child. After the food is passed, children view the collected food. The food is then transported to the Care and Share Food Closet.
Volunteers make the project possible.
Parents and community members are invited to join the food pass or make a donation. For more information, contact Pauline Rodrigue at 778-3707.
