AUBURN – Wildlife biologist Scott Lindsay of the state’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will speak about the natural history of coyotes at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at High Street Congregational Church, 106 Pleasant St.
He’ll be speaking to the Stanton Bird Club, which offers monthly natural history programs and field trips throughout Maine free of charge.
The club welcomes new members, said a spokeswoman, including at the Dec. 6 meeting, which is free.
The club’s dues help provide land stewardship at three sanctuaries owned and managed by the club in Lewiston and Monmouth. These include the Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary in Lewiston where “coyotes are part of the wildlife diversity,” according to the spokeswoman.
For more information about the club, people can call Susan Hayward, 782-5238, or go online at www.avcnet.org/stanton
