On President Bush’s agenda we are borrowing $800 billion. Why? We are trillions of dollars in the red. Future generations will ask why.

After Saddam was captured, a large percentage of the Iraq population wanted us out of their country.

Many of the surrounding countries, like Turkey, Jordan, Kuwait and more, do not have a governing body like ours and choose not to.

We are now a bad example to follow financially.

We are engaged in a civil war. Our soldiers do not know friend from foe.

Our young 20- and 30-year-olds are being killed every day, and a new widow is left to face a very expensive life with two or more children.

Life for our recent widows will be very difficult. My mother kept the electric bill down to a $1.50 a month. We just used lights in the kitchen and pressed clothes with a flat iron heated on the black, cast iron cook-stove with a tank for our hot water.

President Bush will not make it easy for the middle class. He favors the rich with tax cuts.
