LEWISTON – The wedding of Krista Jeannine Cooper and Jason Mitchel Spring was held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 4 at Holy Family Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Andrew Dubois officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Spring is the daughter of Donald and Linda Cooper of Buckfield. Mr. Spring is the son of Shirley and Joseph Newburt of West Paris and Scott Spring of St. Petersburg, Fla.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a full-length strapless satin gown with lace overlay, accented with a floral pattern, beads and pearls, and a 4-foot train. She carried a bouquet of red, white and pink roses.

Tracy Lynn Cooper was maid of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Tessa Jack, friend of the bride, and Heidi DeHaan and Bethany St. Hilaire, cousins of the bride. Brooklynn Spring, daughter of the bridegroom, was the flower girl.

Brian Clevet, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Jay Akers and Chris Hodgeman, friends of the bridegroom, and Kristopher DeHaan and Robert St. Hilaire, cousins of the bride.

A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Cancun, Mexico. They are residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Buckfield Junior-Senior High School and is continuing her education at Central Maine Community College in Auburn for an associate degree in business management. She is employed in loan servicing at Northeast Bank in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and is furthering his education for his sheet metal license through Hahnel Brothers. He is employed in sheet metal for roofing at Hahnel Brothers in Lewiston.
