NORWAY – A 66-year-old Oxford man remained in critical condition Monday night, three days after his bicycle collided with a Jeep on Alpine Street.
Wesley Patenaude was still listed in critical condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland, a nursing supervisor said.
Maine State Police Trooper Kyle Tilsley said David Longstaff, 50, of Norway, was going through the intersection from Alpine Street to Fair Street with a green traffic light when his 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee was hit by Patenaude. Patenaude was headed south on Route 26 and proceeded through the red light to head toward Norway on Paris Street, the trooper said.The accident occurred at 5:55 p.m.
Patenaude is former owner of Reid’s Service Center on Route 26.
