FARMINGTON – Three Franklin County men were indicted Monday by a grand jury on criminal sex charges.

Gerald Fletcher, 48, of New Vineyard was indicted on one count each of gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact, visual sexual aggression and unlawful sexual touching.

Fletcher was arrested in November after Franklin County Sheriff’s Detective David St. Laurent received a referral from the Maine Department of Health and Human Services on Nov. 3 and launched an investigation.

A family member had found an explicit picture of a young girl that appeared to be the victim, St. Laurent had said at the time.

The child was interviewed and Fletcher turned himself in to deputies after a warrant was issued for him. Two of Fletcher’s computers were seized during the investigation, St. Laurent said.

The incident allegedly occurred last summer, St. Laurent said.

Also, Tony J. DeMillo, 31, of Jay, was indicted on one count each of gross sexual assault and unlawful sexual assault.

Jay police Officer Roderick Small arrested DeMillo on Nov. 16 in connection with an incident in which a girl under 8 years old was allegedly sexually assaulted.

In the third indictment, Lloyd N. Gilbert, 57, of East Wilton was indicted on charge of unlawful sexual contact.

The alleged violations occurred between June 18, 2000, and June 18, 2001, in Wilton with a boy who was less than 14 years old at the time.
