FARMINGTON – Four people were indicted Monday in drug-related cases.
Courtney A. Steeves, 26, of Farmington, and Justin M. Kuhni, 27, of Stratton, were indicted on three counts each of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.
They allegedly possessed 20 or more pounds of marijuana, a Schedule Z drug, with the intent to sell, barter, trade, exchange or otherwise furnish, according to the indictment. The incident occurred Sept. 17 in Eustis.
Steeves and Kuhni are also accused of trafficking in hashish by manufacturing it, and trafficking in psilocybin, court documents state.
In a separate case, Kenneth Greg Shaw was indicted on one count each of aggravated marijuana cultivation, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, criminal simulation and criminal forfeiture.
Shaw is accused of growing or cultivating more than 5 and fewer than 100 marijuana plants, in connection with a Sept. 21 incident in New Vineyard.
Shaw was convicted of trafficking in scheduled drugs on Sept. 17, 2001, in Franklin County Superior Court, according to the indictment. Shaw is also accused of trafficking in marijuana.
Additionally, Shaw is accused of intent to defraud and to prevent identification by altering the manufacturer’s serial number on a compressor, or possessing the compressor after that number had been altered.
In another case, Ronald G. Cabe, 48, of Strong, was indicted on one count each of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and marijuana cultivation. Cabe is accused of trafficking in one or more pounds of marijuana on Sept. 21 in Strong. He is also charged with growing or cultivating more than five and fewer than 100 marijuana plants.
