I would like to address Mr. Jeff Darling’s letter from Dec. 10. I graduated from Brunswick High in 1989 and my husband in 1985. We never felt like second-class renters.

There are to many ifs in this consolidated school district situation that cannot be answered, and I’m not happy with how this is being presented. I am part of the vocal minority that Mr. Darling refers to.

I want my 13-year-old son to have choices. If he chooses to go to Lisbon, great. If he chooses Brunswick, that’s even better. But that should be our choice, not that of people who have issues with Brunswick High.

I feel the school board has let us down by letting personal issues get in the way. When something is presented to a room of taxpayers, it should be two-sided, not one. We have the right to choose and the school board is trying to take away that right.
