BATH – The Maine Organization for Students in Technology will host the third annual Maine Student Web Design Program (www.mswda.org) to be recognized in an award ceremony in the spring. It is a statewide educational initiative, endorsed by Gov. John Baldacci. The program encourages Maine students in grades six to 12 to explore, experience and enter the “Knowledge Economy.”
The program encourages students to be creative thinkers, problem-solvers, team-players and to be proficient and comfortable with various aspects of technology. The program invites students to creatively express their interests and hobbies while using the latest technology to explore topics such as education, community, history, the arts, the environment, wellness, business, sports, recreation, games, music, nature, animals, science, mathematics, family, the state of Maine.
Entries will be accepted between Dec. 15 and April 23. Students will design a Web site with a theme/subject that relates to the above topics. As entries are received, school information will be posted on www.mswda.org.
