LEWISTON – Due to the Christmas holiday, the Androscoggin County Democratic Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center on Birch Street.

This month’s agenda includes an election to the State Rules Committee, nominations for county committee officers and a discussion regarding a new meeting place for that committee.

The election of county committee officers will take place at the January 2005 meeting. All members and guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy.

The toys will be donated to underprivileged children in Androscoggin County. A short reception with refreshments will be held after the meeting.
