I would like to address the article in reference to Denny’s Restaurant, Marcel Deschaines and the “breastfeeding” mom (Dec. 1).

I recently was in Denny’s to have brunch with nine family members, ages 14 to 59. I assure you we would have certainly addressed an issue of a mother breastfeeding her baby when we had our meal.

I have known Mr. Deschaines most of my life and believe he tried to address a difficult subject with humor.

I have known him to be a caring, honorable man. I have been a nurse for many years and I believe some things should be kept private.

Let’s not overreact. It’s the Christmas season for heaven’s sake!
