LEWISTON – Dean C. Waterman has been named a vice president at Peoples Heritage Bank. He will continue to manage business development, small business lending, residential mortgages, consumer loans and deposit accounts in his role as business development and sales manager for the Retail Department at the Peoples banking center at 217 Main St.

Waterman joined Peoples in 1997 and has 11 years in banking. He previously served as a mortgage originator and a mortgage center team leader.

A resident of Durham, Waterman serves as a board member and finance committee chair man for both the Pine Tree Academy in Freeport and Parkview Hospital in Brunswick. He is a 1993 graduate of Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Mass. Originally from Yarmouth, Waterman is a 1989 graduate of Pine Tree Academy.
