Every year students in the Foreign Language Department host a reception honoring the exchange students and other students with an international heritage.
This year, three foreign exchange students were introduced – Ricarda Hoch of Austria, Mehdi Lacoste of France and Gunnara Quirin of Germany.
Also introduced were several international students at Edward Little High School – freshman Ibrahim Osman, (Somalia); seniors Hnin Lwin and her brother, Nay Aung, (Burma, now known as Myanmar); Thuy Tran (Vietnamese); and Delcy Romero (Honduras). Sophomore Dan Suazo, who speaks fluent Spanish having lived in Puerto Rico for several years, served as an interpreter for Delcy and was also introduced.
