At Lewiston Middle School, the seventh grade students have been busy, making mittens for the community. Mrs. Annette Caldwell, the living skills teacher, has joined along with Cote Brothers Sewing Machines from Auburn and are making mittens for kids. The Coats for kids campaign has now also added boots and mittens for kids in the community.
After the seventh grade students finished their first pair of mittens they were allowed to work on a pair for the community. Some students made as many as four pairs of mittens for the project! Mrs. Caldwell says, “The students made 25 pairs of colorful mitten’s and enjoyed doing something for the community.”
