HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) – Chad Wiseman scored two power-play goals and added an assist as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Portland Pirates 4-1 Friday.

Dominic Moore had a goal and an assist and Jozef Balej and Jeff Hamilton each had two assists as the Wolf Pack (18-7-1-2) went to 2-0-1 against the Pirates this season. Wiseman gave the Wolf Pack a 1-0 lead at 3:27 of the second period off assists from Balej and Jamie Lundmark.

After Brian Willsie tied it at 8:56 off Tomas Fleischmann’s pass, Moore put the Wolf Pack ahead to stay when he converted Wiseman’s pass with 13 seconds left in the period. Hamilton set up Alexandre Giroux’s team-leading 10th goal with 6:14 left and Wiseman’s second score with 4:05 to go. Jason LaBarbera made 18 saves for his eighth consecutive victory, extending his team record. Justin Eddy, who played three seasons at nearby Quinnipiac, had 26 saves for the Pirates.
