Dear Sun Spots: I am responding to a request by J.M. of Farmington who requested if anyone remembered the photos of the boarders at the St. Joseph’s Orphanage for Girls in the 1940s, which ran in the Saturday, Dec. 4, Sun Spots. If she will contact the Franco-American Collection located at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, Westminster Street, Lewiston, she may find what she’s looking for. They have in their archives two albums of photos of boarders from the orphanage that she is referring to. J.M. may be interested in seeing them and she might find what she’s looking for. For a minimal fee, she may also make copies of some of the photos if she wishes to do so. I wish her luck.

The reading room of the collection is open to the public, Mondays and Wednesdays 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.; and Thursdays 8 a.m. to noon. The telephone number is (207) 753-6445. – M.C.R., Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: You have helped me before and I know you can again. I have no computer so cannot send e-mail. What I need is the mailing address for Fox News Channel. Thank you for your help. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: You can write them at Fox News Channel, 1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York, N.Y., 10036, or you can call their Viewer Services Department at (888) 369-4762.

Dear Sun Spots: After listening to Channel 10 cable last night, I heard a singer named Daniel O’Donnell. His singing was awesome. I couldn’t afford the high pledge but am really interested in purchasing his CDs. I think my mother would too. Hopefully you can find his address where I can buy his CDs. I read Sun Spots first thing every day. Keep up the good work. – D.A., Rumford.

Answer: Daniel O’Donnell has his own Web site and can be found online at www.daniel-site.com. His Web site has links to his personal information, an online store and a fan club where people can write to him at Daniel O’Donnell Fan Club, 12 Fairway Drive, Greenford, Middlesex, UB6 8PW, U.K.

His CDs can be purchased directly from his online store or at Bull Moose Music, 855 Lisbon St., Lewiston, which carries many of his CDs and can special order a particular one if they don’t have it in stock.

Dear Sun Spots: On Nov. 17, I sent a check in the amount of $36.44 to Haband in New Jersey for a blood pressure cuff. The check was canceled Nov. 23. I failed to copy the address for Haband. I would like to know if you could find me the address and telephone number so I can find out the status of my order. Thank you kindly. – Irene, Lewiston.

Answer: The Haband Co. customer service department’s telephone number is (800) 213-1220. Their customer service correspondence department mailing address is 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Peckville, PA, 18452. You can also check on the status of your order at www.Haband.com. Sun Spots contacted Haband and found that your order was received on Nov. 21 and shipped complete to you on Dec. 2. They ask that you allow 12 to 14 business days for the delivery of your order. With this in mind, you should expect your order to be delivered between Dec. 20 and 22.
