SOUTH PARIS – Oxford Hills executed a balanced attack as the Vikings struck for a 47-39 win over Brewer in their KVAC opener Friday.

Senior guard Annie Foster and sophomore guard Kelsea Pelletier each scored nine points to set the pace for the Vikings (1-0).

Junior guard Kate Quimby led all scorers with 11 points on four field goals and a pair of free throws for the Witches (0-1) in the loss.

St. Dom’s 45, Old Orchard Beach 33

AUBURN – Sophomore guard Abby Gilbert lit up the scoreboard with 20 points as St. Dom’s cruised to a 45-33 win over Old Orchard Beach in WMC Class C girls’ basketball action.

The Saints (1-1) received outstanding defensive play from junior guard Malley O’Shea, who also tallied four field goals and a free throw for nine points.

Wiscasset 34, Lisbon 17

LISBON FALLS – Sara Whitfield scored a game-high 14 points to lead Wiscasset to a 34-17 victory over Lisbon. Tolby Graffam drained two 3-pointers and seven points for the Redskins (2-1).

For Lisbon it was Soleil Mathieu who led the team with eight points. Wiscasset held Lisbon (0-2) to just two points in the first half.

Jay 66, Telstar 49

JAY – Sophomore point guard Kaylie DeMillo burned up the boards with 30 points to propel Jay to a 66-49 win over Telstar.

The Tigers (3-0) took a modest five-point lead into the final frame, before pulling well ahead on a 21-9 run. Senior center Sara Fetterhoff recorded 13 points.

Rebel (1-2) forwards Bailey and Chea Davis tallied 21 and 17 points, respectively, in the loss.

Mt. Blue 52, Lewiston 41

FARMINGTON – Christina Mosher overcame some early foul trouble to score a game-high 18 points and lead Mt. Blue to a 52-41 win over Lewiston on opening night in the KVAC.

Amy Mansir added 12 points for the Cougars. Kelsey Varney led the Blue Devils with 16 points.

Camden Hills 69, Oak Hill 44

WALES – Kayla Gushee scored a team-high 16 points to lead Camden Hills to a 69-44 win over Oak Hill. Camden Hills’ (2-1) Marianne Corce and Sam Wiley combined for 19 points.

Amber Chapman drained 17 points and had 16 rebounds for the Raiders (0-3).

Mt. Ararat 51, Leavitt 30

TOPSHAM – Jess Stahl scored the game-high 14 points to lead Mt. Ararat to a comfortable 51-30 win over Leavitt.

Stahl also contributed seven rebounds for the Eagles (1-0), while Kelsi Eiane nailed down 11 points and five steals.

Ashley Naylor and Stephanie Healey each scored seven points for the Hornets (0-1). Healey recorded a pair of 3-pointers in the loss.
