BETHEL – Selectmen and the Board of Assessors are to discuss a townwide revaluation of taxable properties at the selectmen’s meeting at 7 p.m. today.

Other agenda topics include an update on possible legislation to change Oxford County taxation for police service, a presentation of an audit of the town’s fiscal year 2004 financial statements, and a report from the Rental Properties Committee.

Additionally, selectmen are to learn of a notice that certain town officials must be present at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at the U.S. Courthouse in Boston for a pre-argument settlement conference regarding Tripp vs. town of Bethel.

That case involves an appeal by former Bethel Police Chief Darren Tripp of a federal court’s decision in October to dismiss his $500,000 lawsuit against the town of Bethel and Town Manager Scott Cole.
