UPTON, Mass. – Concetta M. (Grimaldi) Knowles, 84, of Upton and formerly of Jay, died Sunday, Dec. 19, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass.

Born in Jay on June 13, 1920, a daughter of the late Carmello and Maria (Notrajacomio) Grimaldi, she grew up in Maine and had lived in Haverhill, Mass. before coming to Upton in 1980.

She worked as a dental assistant and then as a rental manager before retiring in 1976.

She leaves three sons, John of New York, Timothy of Florida, and Bryan of Montana; her twin sister, Lena Thibault of Derry, N.H.; a brother, Joseph Grimaldi of Jay; and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by siblings, Quintina Nemi and Rosa Romano.
