AUBURN – Former Jaycees are making plans to form a Jaycee chapter for the Lewiston/Auburn area. The young persons’ leadership training organization is seeking members between the ages of 18 to 40. The Jaycees learn personal development and leadership skills through community projects and events.

An informational night is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Auburn Police Station in the community room.

The former Lewiston/Auburn Jaycee chapter used to participate in the Great Falls Balloon Festival, Fourth of July celebrations, car club dinners, walkathons, haunted houses, “Dress a Live Doll” and Daffodil Days for the American Cancer Society. The Jaycee projects are membership-driven and change according to members’ interest areas. Anyone of Jaycee age interested in learning more is invited to contact Cyndi Hall at 795-4477, Trudy Jacqmin at 998-5552 or Rick James at 784-1266.
