AUGUSTA – Hollis W. Seames, 90, passed away on Dec. 18, at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta.
He was born on Jan. 20, 1914, the son of Albert Seames and Olive Jane (Stratton) Seames in Winslow.
He graduated from Waterville High School.
He was in the U.S. Navy in World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He married Dorothy Baker in 1942.
He was a Welding instructor at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
He was a Maine Guide and avid sportsman. He was also a true gentleman and a beloved father.
He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Leon of Pittston; a son, Ronald Seames of Augusta; and a granddaughter, Vanessa Leon of Manchester.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years.
