CANTON – Marilyn B. Perry, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center, Canton. A lifelong resident of the area, she made her home on the Canton Point Road, Dixfield.
She was born in Rumford on April 29, 1928, the daughter of Martin and Evelyn Crosby Hamner, and had attended Rumford schools.
She enjoyed her cats, having her hair done, and especially loved visiting with her family.
Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Victorian Villa in Canton for care.
She was married in Rumford, to the late Victor Perry Sr., who died Oct. 22, 1977.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Burgess and her husband, Timothy, of Dixfield, and Florence Downs of Mexico; sons, William “Bill” Perry of Dixfield, Victor Perry and his wife, Phyllis, of Rumford, Mickey Perry and his wife, Debbie, of Milton, Joe Downs and his companion, Mary Jones, of Mexico, Steve Downs and his wife, Delia, of Rumford, and Richard Downs of Rumford; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Lewis Downs and Michael Perry; three sisters, her twin, Arlene Colello, Beatrice Thayer, and Lucille Garant; and two brothers, Martin and Bill Hamner.
