FARMINGTON – A bogus $100 bill showed up at Hannaford this week, police said.

Someone paid for their groceries with the counterfeit bill, Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering said.

Police are investigating, Bowering said, and have heard that other police departments are dealing with fake $100 bills turning up in their jurisdictions recently as well.
