PORTLAND – Tickets are on sale for the “Smucker’s Stars on Ice” figure skating tour, which will be at the Cumberland County Civic Center April 9.
2002 Olympic champion Sarah Hughes will make her debut in the production.
The theme for this tour is “Imagination” featuring an atmosphere of whimsy, fantasy, and magic.
Returning cast members are 2002 Olympic Champions David Pelletier, Elena Berezhnaya, Anton Sikharulidze and Alexei Yagudin, along with world champion Todd Eldredge, world bronze medalists Kyoko Ina and John Zimmerman, and eight-time British National Champion Steven Cousins.
Two-time Olympic champion Ekaterina Gordeeva and world pairs champions Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao will be special guest stars.
The director/choreographer is Emmy Award winner and Olympic champion Christopher Dean. The director/costume designer is two-time Emmy Award winner Jef Billings. Olympic champion Scott Hamilton, who co-founded “Stars on Ice” in 1986, is the producer.
A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Civic Center box office, at Ticketmaster outlets and online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets may be charged by phone at (207) 775-3458 (Civic Center) or (207) 775-331 (Ticketmaster).
