BETHEL – The Borealis Wind Quintet will play at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, in Bingham Auditorium at Gould Academy.

The quintet combines innovative programming with a lively, effervescent style.

The Washington Post described Borealis’ music as “sensitive collaborations with a sophisticated and cosmopolitan air.”

Borealis has received numerous awards and prizes, including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and from Chamber Music America.

Group tours include appearances at Wolf Trap in Virginia, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Concert Hall and the Frick Museum (both in Pittsburgh and in New York).
