DANIA BEACH, FLA. – Louis J. Talon, 82, of Dania Beach, Fla., a former Lewiston resident, died Dec. 18.

Born in Jackman, on Aug. 29, 1922, the son of George and Helen Blais Talon, he graduated from Jackman High School and served in the United States Army, in the Pacific Theater of Operation during, World War II.

After his discharge from the military, he was associated with his father in the operation of the Ritz Diner, and Ritz Taxi on Lisbon Street, Lewiston, and for several years was a handsewing foreman at Bellemoc Shoe Company. At the time of his retirement in Jan. 1985, he was employed at Diamond Machine Company, in Lewiston.

He married the former Maxine Nesbit on April 25, 1946, and the couple resided at 87 Ste. Croix St., Lewiston, until 1988 when they moved to North Monmouth.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston, and after moving to North Monmouth, a communicant at St. Francis Church in Winthrop.

Survivors include his wife of Dania Beach, Fla.; two sons, Stephen, and his wife Mary Beth of Dania Beach, Fla., Kevin Talon and Phyllis Evans of Greenville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Julie Stacey, Keith, Jennifer and Todd Talon; and two great-grandchildren, Trevor Talon, and Solara Stacey.

He was predeceased by his five year old son Kerry, who died in Dec., 1954, two sisters, Caroline Crawford, and Louise Quirion of Jackman, and his parents.
