LEWISTON – Alice Such Sansone, 87, passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, at Marshwood Center for Health Care, after a long illness.

She was born in Central Falls, R.I., Jan. 22, 1917, the daughter of Stanley and Mary Walusiak Such. Alice grew up in the Central Falls area and attended Central Falls schools.

On Sept. 4, 1937, she married Louis A. Sansone. During that time, she worked as a loom fixer at the Lorraine Mill in Pawtucket and later became a homemaker. She and her husband resided in Lincoln, R.I.

Alice was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was also a Sunday school teacher at St. Paul’s Church.

She enjoyed sewing, cooking and had many pets that she adored. Alice also took great pride in her garden at her home in Lincoln.

She is survived by a son-in-law, Dr. Paul R. Mailhot of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Christopher Mailhot and his wife, Tanya, of Lewiston, Marc Mailhot of Lewiston, and David Mailhot and his wife, Melinda, of Lisbon; and several nieces and nephews.
