LEWISTON – Cecile B. Ouellette, 89, of 421 Meadowview, died Monday, Dec. 27, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, where she resided for the past three months.

Born in Sherbrook, P.Q., Canada, Oct. 4, 1915, a daughter of Albert and Anselmie Blais Blanchette, she was educated in Canadian schools.

She was married to Aurele Ouellette, who died in September of 1997.

She worked in the packing and shipping department at Bates Manufacturing Co. for 38 years, prior to her retirement in 1977.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Society of St. Peter’s Church. She served as president of the Meadowview Council and volunteered at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita Bernier of Lewiston, and Muriel Leblanc and husband, Donald, of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sons, Raymond R. and his wife, Juliette Ouellette, of Lewiston, and Leo P. and his wife, Jane Ouellette, of Naples, Fla.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Marcel and Cathie Bernier, Scott Leblanc, Lee Leblanc, Patrick and Lisa Aquilina, Tom Ouellette and companion, Audrey Sprague, Steve and Jamie Ouellette, Brian and Mary Jane Ouellette and Paul and Kim Ouellette; and 10 great-grandchildren.
