AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department of Central Maine Community College will offer a new sales and marketing certificate program beginning Jan. 14. Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Fridays.
The program is a series of five modules on the essential skills needed for superior sales and marketing. The first four modules are $55 each and the fifth is $75. Participants can register for the entire series (SAL001-01) at the reduced rate of $195. The series will be taught by Ken O’Brien of Wiscasset.
Individual modules include: Effective Sales Presentations (SAL002-01) on Jan. 14, in which participants will prepare a focused presentation that moves the sales process forward; Marketing Development and Prospecting (SAL003-01) on Jan. 21, in which participants will develop a plan to find and qualify prospects and turn them into customers; Selling Value – Not Price (SAL004-01), on Jan. 28, will help participants understand why adding value will differentiate them from their competition.
After the Sale: Developing a Long-Term Customer Relationship (SAL005-01), on Feb. 4, will focus on the rewards of being a consultative sales agent to develop long-term relationships, and Putting it All Together (SAL006-01), Feb. 11, will have participants write and role play a sales scenario.
