LITCHFIELD – Gary D’Alessandris graduated recently from the associate supervisor program at the U.S. Postal Service.

D’Alessandris had been with the service for four years before completing the four-month training program, graduating with 10 other management trainees.

A Litchfield resident, D’Alessandris began his postal career as a rural carrier associate in Bowdoinham, then served as a letter carrier in Bath, before serving as an acting supervisor in the Bath Post Office.

Recently he has been training to be a supervisor of customer services in the Bath Post Office while learning about a number of postal operations during the training program.

“I’m looking forward to this new position and feel the program has prepared me for this promotion,” said D’Alessandris.

He was born and raised in Aliquippa, Pa., where he graduated from high school. He and his wife, Tracy, have three children.

As a program graduate, D’Alessandris will supervise customer service employees. He will be stationed at the Bath Post Office where he will supervise employees who serve the public at customer service windows as well as city and rural letter carriers who deliver in Bath.
