VERNON, Conn. – Maria B. Roy, 98, of Vernon, Conn., died Sunday, Dec. 26, at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on March 2, 1906 in Notre Dame des Bois, a small town in Canada.
Maria lived most of her adult in the Lewiston-Auburn area and then moved to the Vernon-Rockville area in the early 70s.
She is survived by her two sons, Normand and wife, Jacqueline Roy, of Windsor, and Raymond and wife, Diane Roy, of Albany, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Deborah, Normand Jr., Cathy, Diane, Donna, David, Donald, Tina, Laurie, Cherri and Chris; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Roy, in 1956; and her daughter, Lorraine Novay, on Nov. 15.
