FARMINGTON – Earl Coolidge, 62, of East Dixfield, died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 29, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

Born in Rumford, June 9, 1942, a son of Verner and Eleanor Masterman Coolidge, he received his education in East Dixfield and Dixfield schools. On June 2, 1972 he married Barbara Kenney at Calvin Sewall’s office in Wilton.

He was employed at G.H. Bass in Wilton, the Livermore Foundry and Cousineau’s in Strong. He most recently worked as a flagger for local construction companies.

He was a member of the East Dixfield Fire Department and enjoyed going to agricultural fairs and playing cards. He was fond of his dog, Butch, and his niece’s dog, Chili.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of East Dixfield; two sisters, Sharon Webber and her husband, Donald, of East Dixfield, and Rosalee Bubier and her husband, Stanley Earl, of Phillips; his mother-in-law, Gussie Wells of New Vineyard; brothers-in-law, Don Kenney of New Vineyard, and Fred Kenney and his wife, Phyllis, of Fairbanks; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Coolidge.
