AUBURN – Karen Danforth has been promoted to vice president, business development officer at Northeast Bank. She will be responsible for developing business in the Oxford Hills region, based out of the bank’s South Paris branch.

Danforth joined Northeast in 1997, bringing more than 25 years of banking experience to the company. She has previously worked for Casco Northern and KeyBank. Most recently, she was area sales manager for the South Paris branch. Danforth is the recipient of Northeast Bank’s Salesperson of the Year award two years in a row for her efforts in relationship management and cross sales.

She resides in South Paris with her husband and has two grown sons. Danforth has also studied extensively at the Center for Financial Education.
