WEST BETHEL – Andrew Boyd Bartlett, 53, died at his home, Dec. 30, after a very courageous battle with cancer.

He had great love for his wife, children and especially his four grandchildren, Lovebug, Pretty Girl, Big Bear and the Fisherman.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter with his best friend Dilly and Ronnie. He greatly enjoyed working in the woods with his son-in-law, Dan, and was an excellent debater with his good friend, Dan C.

He joined the Marine Corps in October of 1969 and served in Okinawa from 1970-1971.

He was a member of American Legion Post 151 of West Paris and Jefferson Lodge 100 AF & AM in Bryant Pond.

He worked in the woods for many years with his uncle Charlie and for P.H. Chadbourne Co, then worked a few years for C.N. Brown delivering gas, and most recently for D.N.M. Harvesting as a machine operator.

He also enjoyed watching football and baseball and was glad to see the Red Sox win a World Series in his lifetime.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Bartlett, of West Bethel; his son, Mark Bartlett and his favorite daughter-in-law, Michelle, of West Bethel; his daughter, Kelly Myers and his favorite son-in-law, Dan, of Bethel; his step-father, Ernest “Joe” Brown Sr. of South Paris; a brother, S. Paul Bartlett and his wife, Marie, of Greenwood; a brother, Eldon Bartlett of Scarborough; a sister, Sally Bartlett of Poland; a sister, Roberta Zinchuk and her husband, Jim, of Oxford; a sister, Robyn Cary and her husband, Tom, of Oxford; a sister, Heidi Tracy and her husband, Dan, of South Paris; a brother, Ernie Brown Jr. of South Paris; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and more friends than anyone can imagine. “See you all at the race track.”
