LEWISTON – Gaston E. “Slim” Michaud died Thursday, Dec. 30, at Central Maine Medical Center from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

He was born in Lewiston on June 7, 1928, the son of L. Phillip and Albertine Michaud. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1947.

After school, he served his country in the National Guards for several years. He worked as an Optician, at Optometric Associates.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sophie; his son, Steven, and daughter-in-law, Therese; and grandson, Jeffery, of Turner.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Raymond Michaud.
