LEWISTON – The wedding of Lori Pelletier and Dr. David Baker was held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Holy Cross Church. Msgr. Rene Mathieu officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Baker is the daughter of Julien and Claudette Roy of Poland Spring. Dr. Baker is the son of William and Sharon Baker of Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a diamond white strapless gown with beaded scalloped trim and chapel train. She carried a bouquet created by her aunt, consisting of wild flowers, antique miniature white roses, miniature pink Gerber daisies, orchids, miniature carnations and sea grass.

Lisa Turgeon, best friend of the bride, was matron of honor and Ashley Pelletier, daughter, was bridesmaid.

Dr. Stephen Jacobs, colleague of the bridegroom, attended as best man and Joshua Pelletier, son, was usher.

A candlelight reception followed at Martindale Country Club in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Aruba. The couple is residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a graduate of Edward Little High School and received an associate degree for medical assistant in 1984. She is currently pursuing a degree in nursing at the University of Southern Maine and is employed as a medical assistant at Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute.

Dr. Baker is a graduate of Abington Heights High School in Pennsylvania and attended undergraduate school at the University of Scranton. He also attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is employed as a pediatrician at Central Maine Pediatrics.
