LEWISTON – Central Maine Medical Center, assisted by the crew at LifeFlight of Maine’s Lewiston base, will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

The drive will be held in the CMMC Chairmen’s Rooms on the ground level of the 12 High Street Medical Office Building.

“We cannot stress how important it is for those living in the greater Lewiston-Auburn area to support this blood drive,” said Lori Metayer, manager of LifeFlight of Maine’s Lewiston base.

Anyone who would like to donate blood can make an appointment by calling CMMC at 795-2470 or the American Red Cross at 1-800-482-0743.

Blood drive participants will be given a chance to win a $50 gift certificate.
