LEWISTON – Phillippe E. Coulombe, 91, of 130 Rosedale St., died Jan. 2, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Born in Lewiston on Dec. 6, 1913, the son of Napoleon and Alice (Belanger) Coulombe.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater with over 50 flying missions over Germany.
He was married to the former Emilienne C. Vaillancourt, whom he married on May 4, 1946.
Prior to his retirement, he was the office manager of Falcon Shoe Co. for many years.
He was a member of Holy Cross Church, former American Legion Post 22 of Lewiston, DAV, Veteran’s of Foreign War Post 9459 Raymond J. Lavigne Chapter.
He enjoyed gardening and was a loving husband, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by one son, Philippe G. Coulombe of Bath; two daughters, Louise Collins of Lewiston, and JoAnne and her husband, Albert R. Murch, of Greene; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Laurier Coulombe, who died in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
