LIVERMORE FALLS – A Pine Ridge Loop man called police early New Year’s Day claiming people outside his trailer were threatening to beat him up.

Once police arrived, they discovered that the man was having a New Year’s Eve party and the people outside were parents upset because he was allegedly providing a place for minors to drink alcohol, Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

The incident is under investigation, Steward said.
