FARMINGTON – Registered nurse Karen Yingling, has attained the status of Clinical Ladder II in Franklin Memorial Hospital’s Clinical Ladders program.
Clinical Ladders provides opportunities for nurses to advance in status and in salary through recognition of the highest standards of professionalism and excellence.
Yingling, who has worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital since 1986, provides patient care in the hospital’s recovery room.
In order to achieve the Clinical Ladder II status, the nurse must also write a letter of her impact over the past year citing a positive outcomes involving patients, peers, the clinical department or the community. Yingling’s letter described working as a preceptor, or clinical teacher, in the recovery room.
Yingling holds a master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Fort Kent and her associate degree in nursing from the University of Maine at Augusta. Yingling is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau national honor society for nursing.
Yingling resides in Farmington and is the parent of adult sons Chris and Jeffrey.
