AUBURN – Pender J. Lazenby of Falmouth has been named senior risk management officer at Northeast Bank. In the newly created bank position, he will report to the board of directors and be an integral part of the bank’s senior management team.
Lazenby is a longtime banker who serves on the board of directors of Northeast Bancorp, the parent company of Northeast Bank, and he will continue to serve as a member of the board’s executive committee. In addition to his Bancorp board duties, Lazenby will assume responsibility for several departments of the bank in order to coordinate all areas of risk management, particularly with respect to credit policy and administration and loan review.
Lazenby holds a bachelor’s degree in government and a master’s degree in business administration, both from the University of Virginia. He is a longtime Maine resident and has been associated with many professional and community organizations over the years, including Robert Morris Associates and the United Way. Lazenby also volunteers as a small business counselor with the Portland chapter of Service Corps of Retired Executives and is a swim official with USA Swimming.
