BRIDGTON – A fiddlers contest and a dance Saturday, Jan. 15, will offer lively music, a contest and dancing at the Bridgton Town Hall. The fund-raiser will benefit the Lakes Environmental Association.

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a bluegrass picking jam. At 7 p.m., some of the best fiddlers in western Maine and beyond will compete for cash prizes, awarded to the best bluegrass band, best adult fiddlers and best youth fiddlers (under 16).

At 9 p.m., the dance will start to the music of the Windy Ridge Band, a quartet of acoustic musicians and vocalist.

Admission is $12 per person, $20 per couple and $6 for children under age 16.
