PORTLAND – Award-winning singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman will perform Thursday, March 31, at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Chapman has sold more than 9 million recordings, including his platinum albums “Speechless” and “Heaven in the Real World.”

Performing with him on his “All Things New Tour” will be special guests Chris Tomlin and Castings Crowns. The concert will feature songs from Chapman’s 14th and latest album, “All Things New,” as well as hits from the past 17 years.

Chapman has won four consecutive Grammys for best pop/contemporary gospel album for “The Live Adventure,” “The Great Adventure,” “For the Sake of the Call” and “Speechless.” He received the 2003 American Music Award for Favorite Artist – Inspirational Music.

He has 47 Dove Awards to his credit, more than any other artis. He has received nine Dove Awards for Songwriter of the Year.

Tomlin is one of today’s leading worship leaders and songwriters, according to a spokesman for the concert, and the writer of some of the most popular contemporary church songs today.

Casting Crowns was the No. 1 selling new artist of 2003; the band’s debut album shipped more than 390,000 units.
