FARMINGTON – Solange G. Perreault, 74, of Canal Street, Wilton, died Friday evening, Jan. 7, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation Center in Farmington.

She was born June 7, 1930, a daughter of Ferrier and Marie Rose (Perreault) Bouffard, in Lac Megantic, Province of Quebec, Canada, the oldest of 18 children.

She received her education in parochial schools and married Sylva Perreault in Lac Megantic on May 21, 1949.

They made their home in Stratton before moving to Wilton in 1963.

She was a handsewer at GH Bass Shoe Co. in Wilton for many years.

She was a member of the Wilton Historical Society, the Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Mt. Blue Garden Club, and the Altar Guild at St. Mary’s Church in Wilton and later at St. Joseph’s in Farmington. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Sylva, of Farmington; two daughters, Sylvie Perreault and her fianc, Robert DeLong, of Amesbury, Mass., and Susie Porter and her companion, Larry Graham, of Benton; several surviving brothers and sisters; five grandchildren, Anthony Pelletier, Angelique Pellitier, and Michael Pelletier, all of California, Amy Belvin of New Hampshire, and Erika Hamlin of Sydney; two great-grandchildren, Angeliana Pelletier of California, and Ethan Belvin of New Hampshire.

She was predeceased by a son, John Perreault, on Dec. 19, 1993.
