MINOT – Virginia “Ginger” D. Gould, 68, of Minot, passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 8, with her husband of 40 years by her side.

She was born in Auburn on Nov. 3, 1936, the daughter of Donald Sr. and Annie (Campbell) Dean.

Ginger was the beloved wife of Thomas Gould, whom she married on Dec. 19, 1964.

She attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1954.

She was an active member of the board of directors of the West Auburn School Historical Society and spent several years compiling a book on the history of North and West Auburn.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Gould; four daughters, Patricia Marshall-Parise and her husband, Mark, of Oxford, Torry Wahler and her husband, Tim, of Embden, Judy Dill and her husband, Woody, of Oxford, and Joanna Vining and her husband, Bill, of Minot; nine grandchildren, Angela and Heather Wahler, Kendra, Buddy and Chelsea Marshall, Chris Parise, Adam Vining and Josh and Ben Dill; three great-grandchildren, Michael and Zoe Dyer and Tyler Edwards; two sisters, Dorothy Parker of Auburn, and Shirley Baden of Ventura, Calif.; and one brother, Donald Dean of Auburn.

She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Sharon Lee.
