PARIS – The South Paris Foster Carroll Legion and Auxiliary, Unit 72, will sponsor a blood drive to benefit Maine Medical Center of Portland from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at the Legion Hall on Church Street. Appreciation gifts will be given to donors.

The next meeting of the post will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the hall beginning with a public ham supper followed by dancing to music by the Country Ladds band. More information may be obtained by calling 743-5723.

Movie screening

BETHEL – Bridges to Health and Healing will participate show the movie “Indigo” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Telstar High School on Route 26. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from a member of the group, or reserved by calling (207) 824-7031 or sending e-mail [email protected]. “Indigo” is a film about redemption, grace and the healing powers of a new generation of psychic and gifted “Indigo” children. It tells the story of one family’s three fateful choices.
