AUBURN – Rosena M. Capano, 96, formerly of 62 Newbury St., Auburn, died at Clover Manor Sunday afternoon, Jan. 9.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 21, 1908, a daughter of Rocco and Catherine (Lentini) Capano. She was educated in Auburn schools, graduated from Edward Little High School, and remained a lifelong resident of Auburn. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and in her younger years had been an active member of the Sons of Italy, in Lewiston. She was a volunteer for many years for the City of Auburn at the election polls, and also volunteered for several years at St. Vincent dePaul. Rosena loved dogs and sports, as she celebrated the World Series championship of the Boston Red Sox.
She leaves many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Italia and Catherine; and six brothers, Vincent, Pasquale, Rocco, Edmund, Daniel, and Andrew.
